Not-another-thing-to-remember
I don't need one more thing to have to remember...even if I forget everything else I'll still be able to blog!

My twins
They are so much fun! Here they are ice fishing with their dad in Colorado, and all three (dad included) having a blast! We tell them all the time they are growing up way too fast! This year, blondie there got called "sweetie" a lot with his long hair...but he still doesn't want to cut it!
My only daughter
My daughter loves to go to Africa every summer, to tell people about Jesus and minister to the children. As you can see, not only does she love them, but they love her. (The white spots you see on their faces are stickers...they love to put them there!) She graduates in December and is going to get her nursing degree to help her in missions! I'm so proud of the way she shares her faith with others and seeks the Lord's will for her life, even at a young age!
My first-born
My oldest child (in the front. His cousin behind him, who is his best friend and 8 days younger) is about to graduate in May...I can't believe it! He is wise beyond his years when he speaks about Jesus, and I am so proud of how he stands up for what he believes and doesn't allow other kids to sway him in his walk with the Lord.

Psalm 40: 1-3
I waited patiently for the Lord; he turned to me and heard my cry. He lifted me out of the slimy pit, out of the mud and mire; he set my feet on a rock and gave me a firm place to stand. He put a new song in my mouth, and a hymn of praise to out God. Many will see and fear and put their trust in the Lord.
There is no greater joy than knowing God!

Reveal yourself, God!
In 1 Kings 18:27, it says that Elijah began to taunt them (the prophets of Baal), "Shout louder!" he said, "Surely he is god! Perhaps he is deep in thought, or busy, or traveling. Maybe he is sleeping and must be awakened." Aren't you glad our God is always there for us? This verse caught my attention, (even though I knew what would happen later in the chapter, how God would show up and show the people that He was the one true God, and that they would see the truth), and I thought to myself, "I wonder why it took them this long to see it." Their god was always that way...never had their god ever been alive and active!
Then, in verse 36 & 37, Elijah asked God to, "Let it be known today that you are God!" and that's exactly what God did! Wouldn't you love to have been there? Are there times you pray the same thing? I know I do! There are people we come into contact with quite often who don't believe in God, who have all sorts of other gods, and we want so badly for them to trust in the one True and Living God!
Ask God, today, to reveal Himself to someone that you need to share the gospel with! And when He does, be faithful to share the hope that you have and how they can know God personally! I encourage you to read 1 King 18 & 19 and let it encourage you. It did me!

John 3:16
For God so loved the world that He gave his one and only Son, that whoever believes in Him shall not perish but have eternal life.
I want to be like Abraham!
I've known the story of Abraham, and his son, Isaac, for many years. But God's Word is new every morning, Amen? He has been speaking to my heart this week about laying it all on the alter, being willing to give Him everything and to hold nothing back. Can you imagine what it must have been like to walk with your child for 3 days, knowing that as soon as you reached your destination you would be sacrificing him? I can't! The faith Abraham had...not must have had, but had! Wow! To have that kind of faith - faith that trust God with something so precious as your child! God requires it all -- everything we have is God's. Do you truly believe that today?
What is it you need to give God and trust that he will provide or take care of?...whatever it is, lay it on the alter today and go worship Him!!! He is waiting! The King of kings and Lord of lords desires to spend time with you today...lay it all down and trust Him! He will provide!
Imagine the joy that Abraham experienced when the angel of the Lord called out to him and said, "do not lay a hand on the boy" and then, there in a ticket, saw a ram! God still required Abraham to make a sacrifice, but He provided it! Sit back and think about that for a minute. God found Abraham faithful, and GOD provided the sacrifice that day! That same God provided the perfect sacrifice for us, so that our sins could be forgiven. Today, praise God for His faithfulness, and rejoice in your salvation!
Get in the Word!
Over the last two days the Lord has had me in Psalm 34. I want to encourage you to go there. Verse 3 says, "Glorify the Lord with me; let us exalt His name together!" Let's do that! He is so worthy of our praise! We are so blessed to have a God who cares about every single detail of our lives.
If you are having a difficult week, praise Him and seek refuge in Him! If you are having a good week, praise Him! You are His child, and He loves you! I can't stress it enough how much we need to be in God's word! Do you want to be encouraged? Go to His word! Do you need answers? Go to His word! Do you need to be loved? Go to His word! Whatever you need today, allow God to be the one who fills that need! Praise Him today with me for He alone is worthy of our praise!
My prayer for you today is that God will bless you and shower His love upon you.
